Weekly Reading, 08.25.25

Well hi! It’s been a minute. Besides updating the Portland, ME travel guide, it’s been a solid two years since I updated this blog. I certainly didn’t mean to go this long, but you know, LIFE. Anyway, I’m going to jump right in as if nothing has happened (even though a lot has happened, I’d rather not dwell on it and I have a feeling anyone reading this follows me on social and generally knows the vibe). This was originally a weekend post, but I think I’ll shift it to posting on Mondays because we could all use something to start the week with, right? I love a distraction. I”m guessing you might, too.

Anyway.

I hope you had a nice weekend. I went for a long paddle up the Royal River in Yarmouth with my mom on Saturday and allowed myself to be strong armed into going to the beach afterwards. Yesterday (Sunday) I spent most of the day prepping stuff for a yard sale and capped it off with a bike ride to the gym to lift and then some meal prep for the week. I’ve been making this Costco quinoa salad dupe weekly (I add farro to the quinoa) and it lasts for several meals, and I’ve also been making these healthy no-bake cookies (I add a scoop of chocolate whey protein). This week is bound to be busy so it’s been nice to have some easy food prepped for lunches and dinners. Whatever you have going on this week, I hope it’s all good stuff. XO

Have you seen the new Sezane fall collection? Fall is their best season IMO. I just ordered these pants (I have them in leather and leopard and love them - I recommend ordering your usual size). I”m also eyeing this gorgeous plaid coat and this beautiful bag.

Greed was good. Clothes were key. An interesting read on Barney’s.

These cute sneakers are topping my ‘must have’ list for fall. (I just got these and they’re great for walking)

Is social media dead? The vibe lately has certainly been off lately…

Is literally everything a trend? Apparently ‘Tired Girl Makeup’ is trending.

These classic vintage ‘90s shades are giving serious Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy vibes for fall.

This little puffy bag is so cute - I love the red

Midlife is about holding the tension of opposites” sheesh! yes!

Love the updated shape of this classic sweater (can’t decide between the red and the pink/brown stripe). Also loving this look for fall.

Double chocolate zucchini bread? Sign me up!

Dissecting three September fashion covers (that Travis Kelce spread is really something)

A great dress for a fall wedding - love it styled with the boots

Thanks for reading!
