Happy… local’s summer! Did you think I was going to say fall? September? No, it’s the best time of the year - when tourist season slows down in Maine and locals can actually take advantage of the beautiful place where we live. If you were able to have a long weekend, I hope it was lovely. Mine was: I did some major yard sale prep on Saturday and then on Sunday actually held the yard sale friends and I have been scheming about for months. It was fun! It was also a lot of work. But it’s satisfying to see items find new homes and get some stuff out of my house. On Monday, we had a beach day. Like a real, lay around and pretend to read while yapping, beach day (see the pic above). It was great and felt like summer incapsulated. I’m trying to keep the summer feeling alive as long as possible, too. This week, my brother and I are going to see some bands, then I’m working an event out on one of the islands at the end of the week. The weather is looking gorgeous and I can’t wait. I’m making a little list of the things I want to do before the end of the season and am going to do my best to check everything off. Hope your week is lovely. XO
